Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (www.greenroofs.org) is looking for four (4) fall interns to assist with various components/aspects of our green roof and wall industry association. We are looking for a 140 hour time commitment (min. 3 eight hour days/week). This equates to roughly 6 weeks.
Responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Intern, Living Architecture Monitor magazine (www.livingarchitecturemonitor.com)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Will assist with marketing (social media, research) and web/editorial tasks (manipulating photos in Photoshop, copyediting, proofreading, fact-checking, writing).
REQUIREMENTS: Marketing and editorial background. Publishing experience an asset.
- Intern, Training (www.greenroofs.org/education)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Will assist with marketing training courses across North America via social media, phone call campaigns, creating contact lists and administrative duties.
REQUIREMENTS: Marketing background, outgoing and enthusiastic.
- Intern, CitiesAlive conference (www.citiesalive.org) two positions available
RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow up on potential exhibitors and delegates via email and telephone call campaigns. Assist with tracking and staying in touch with conference partners.
REQUIREMENTS: Outgoing, enthusiastic, articulate and professional on the phone.
Though the internships are unpaid, successful candidates will receive a complimentary green roof training course in Toronto (3 days) valued at $1500; and valuable experience in the industry.
All positions require an undergraduate degree in the arts, social science or environmental science. Interest in sustainability, green infrastructure and living architecture also a plus.
