JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION: Building Maintenance Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Engineering REPORTS TO: Building Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Attend to all maintenance issues identified in the hotel suites, public areas, recreational
facilities, lobby and restaurant
Maintain service and repairs for the HVAC equipment, heat pump, air conditioners, gas
fireplaces, washer/dryer, refrigeration and ice machines units
Conduct swimming pool testing and maintenance
Maintain and repair central mechanical systems including exhaust fans
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and repairs
Work with all departments to ensure maintenance priorities are addressed to standard
Other Engineering duties as required
Job Requirements
Previous experience in maintenance service, HVAC repairs, swimming pool maintenance
and mechanical systems an asset
Kitchen and laundry equipment repair an asset
Experience in plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment repairs an asset
HVAC license an asset, but not a requirement
Good command of the English language is essential, both written and verbal (additional
languages spoken would be an asset)
Excellent troubling shooting skills with strong mechanical aptitude
Good knowledge of electrical circuits at a technician level
Maintain and organize the engineering office including tools, equipment, logbooks and
paperwork
Attention to detail is essential
Must possess good organizational / time management skills with the ability to delegate
and organize staff within the department
Must be able to lift a 70 lb. load, stretch and bend frequently throughout shifts
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification
when needed
High initiative, self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
Professional in demeanor and presentation, neat and well groomed
Personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work independently
Observant, discriminating and detail-oriented
Guest focused with strong guest service skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational
Positive attitude and outgoing personality is essential
Ability to work as part of a team with good communication skills

Must be available to work shifts - evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays
