- very understanding and knowledgeable management - safety is number 1 priority - everyone is easily approachable - very fair wages - helped me to gain experience in the exploration side of the mining industry - helped me to gain knowledge on the chemical complexes found in the ore we have in Timmins

Gold Corp is a great company to work for, the management team only has a goal for the workforce to be safe and have the people go home to their families. People have got to understand that it’s the way industry is going and for myself I enjoyed working for a company that has a strong emphasis on safety and to hold the workforce to the same standards. The pay was excellent and the conditions were a typical mining environment. Excellent co-workers .

Welder (Former Employee) – Timmins, ON – 5 September 2017
Goldcorp treats their students like gold, they never turned down the opportunity to take me on tours of the mine or pair me up with new crews that exposed me to different parts of the mine. Welding underground in a massive shop 440 meters below surface was mind-blowing at first sight!
Was a great place until New Mine Manager ruined it

i'ts unfortunate, in less then 2 years this place went from the best place to work to the worse.. to people are so stressed.. a fatality occurred due to a high stress load and pressure to perform.. it's real sad the management has failed properly lead this place, what real sad is that all management had a complete change over within this time.. pro.. this is a good place for a young person to get experience and then leave.. most supervisors are young, and change over is high.
good to get experience and then find the job you want
Great place to work, free gym membership.lots of social events.

All in all this is a great company to work for . They have great benefits and ethics code. My management and co-worker we top notch. Most enjoyable part was meeting and greeting the employees each day as they came to and from work. The hard part was dealing with injuries, most times it was someone you knew, thats not fun.
Gym membership, Free company events and socials.
Shift work, days and nights, long hours, 12 hour shifts.

I was always looking forward to waking up the next day at 4:45 am just to go to work. No one ever wanted to be that person. Management was awsome, co - worker were well experience!. That hardest part of the job was to keep up with everyone else or having the same knowledge as the expeiernce ones.
