Glen Transport is located in beautiful Skookumchuck, BC.

Licensed heavy duty mechanics are required to
work on highway tractors and wood fibre trailers.

Salary: $22.95 - $27.54 per hour

Education:

Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):

Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification, Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement, Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement, Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate, Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, WHMIS Certificate

Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications

Truck Mechanic Specific Skills:

Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service

Additional Skills:

Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor, Complete reports to record problems and work performed, Coach and instruct apprentices

Tools, Steel-toed Safety boots
