DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
Working under the supervision of the Project Manager, perform a variety of production tasks to prepare documents needed to take a building from original concept to completion. Contributes toward the accuracy, quality, completeness, and schedule of finished drawing packages through coordination with team members and consultants.
Develop and prepare Design Development Drawings (DD) and outline specifications
Develop and prepare Contract Documents (CD) and specifications
Assist the Contract Administrator
Prepare graphics and presentation drawings
Take mentorship and guidance from more experienced production team members
Assist in performing code and bylaw analysis
Assist in the coordination of consultants
Assist in the performance of Quality Control procedures
Research and compile construction materials
Assist in the printing, assembly, circulation, and filing of project documents
Assist the Project Manager with general DD and CD duties
Excellent communication and time management skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Minimum 10-15 years experience with a Architectural Technologist Diploma
Strong AutoCAD skills are required and experience with AutoCAD ADT and Revit preferred
Must have the ability to be the Project Lead on mid-size to large projects
Must have experience dealing with clients and consultants and leading project meetings
