Technical Support Specialist(Entry Level)

GESCAN Ontario is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to employ a solutions approach to resolving and/or answering inquiries, providing quotations and providing remote diagnostic, advanced troubleshooting, and engineering level product knowledge. This position will interact with various internal/suppliers including customer services, marketing, sales and operations.
Product support for LVMC, Drives, PLC, Motion, OIU, Industrial Networks, Vision, RFID, IPC's, Laser and dot peen marking systems, in line process monitoring systems and automation software.
The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Understanding of electronic/electrical products across GESCAN’s varied product lines and utilize that understanding to provide customers with application and technical solutions.
Provide diagrams and templates for electronic/electrical applications as required.
Identify the skill level of the customer and explain complex solutions in ways the customer can understand and successfully implement. If necessary provide product/application training.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with GESCAN’s electronic/electrical products and programming issues. Analyze written specifications and assist customers with product selections
Provide detailed quotations for recommended hardware and software solutions
Maintain awareness of all Gescan/Supplier policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance
Manage special/unique project related situations
Percentage of Travel: minimal
Minimum Years of Experience: Entry to 2 years
Technical diploma a requirement.
