R.P.N. required to conduct QA audits of nursing staff in LTC facilities. Documentation of medication related tasks, drug administration, organization of med rooms and carts, etc. will be measured against MOHLTC standards. Staff education will also be an important function of the successful applicant. The candidate must have the ability to prepare and present educational materials, based on facility needs. This is a full time position, in Toronto and the surrounding area. A minumum of two years of LTC experience is required. Familiarity with eMAR systems and RAI-MDS would be beneficial, as well as a solid technological skill set. A car is required for this position and a travel supplement is provided. The successful applicant will have superior organizational skills, as well as the ability to develop a successful rapport with key facility staff members, and the consultant pharmacist assigned to each facility. Maturity, reliability and accountability are critical assets for this responsible position.
