Roles and Responsibilities

Greets and directs clients and counsel, and responds to inquiries
Performs clerical, administrative, organizational and general office duties for the lawyers assigned to the candidate
Conducts client intakes as required
Receives incoming mail/email and directs/prioritizes/organizes accordingly
Sets up and maintains filing systems, utilizing knowledge of legal records and procedures (including a tickler system) and frequently controls confidential materials and documents
Follows proper file opening and closure procedures, coordinates file closings, and arranges for storage of closed files
Assisting with client Invoicing through PC Law System

Qualifications and Experience

Bilingual (French and English) (written, verbal, and comprehension)
Working knowledge of legal office administration through related experience
Ideally 1-3 years of legal administration experience
Possesses working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
Education and Certification

College Diploma; Paralegal Degree preferable

Grades: B+ average
