Genome Prairie is seeking to contract an Outreach Coordinator to support the development and delivery of one-hour workshops aimed at promoting genomics and biotechnology to high school students. This initiative is being undertaken in partnership with Agriculture in the Classroom Saskatchewan.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in biology or biotechnology as well as exceptional communications skills. Motivating and inspiring youth to explore the impacts and possibilities surrounding genomics in a fun and interactive way is the main priority.

Please note that workshops will take place during weekdays between 9:00am and 3:30pm. Some travel to communities surrounding Saskatoon may also be required.
Payment will be provided for time spent on program development, preparation and the delivery of each workshop. Remuneration will be competitive and based on qualifications and experience. Other approved expenses will also be reimbursed.
Interested candidates are asked to forward an electronic resume and cover letter (one PDF file) by e-mail. No phone calls please. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 pm on Monday, July 29, 2013.
