Lead Operator/Training Mentor (Former Employee), Manassass, Va – October 1, 2014
Pros: good atmosphere. nice people.
Cons: bad pay. lack of upward mobility.
This is a good starter job. Something to do in college or when you're figuring out your life. Or if you're a bit older and want something easy. But it isn't a career. There just aren't enough positions for people to move in to, so eventually you end up waiting for someone to move, get pregnant or retire so that you can get a promotion. The people are – more... great though, and the managers are great people. It's just an environment where you will have to settle eventually. – less

Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager developing tools to improve company processes, applications and information management in general. Help develop applications to track inventory and ordering parts for production from conveyor belts to custom design machines. Understand the overall operations of the company and create applications designed – more... with the end user in mind, while making sure they don’t interfere with other departmental processes. – less
Director (Current Employee), US – October 29, 2013
Genesys has changed from being a great place to work to stripped down ill, skeleton of its former self. The management does little for the staff but is only focussed on top and bottom line regardless of the consequences for the staff. No team work anymore, no fun, not a great place to work anymore.
The people there are great but are stressed and afraid – more... for their jobs with the layoffs happening on a weekly basis. – less
Culture that no longer values contributions of employees
DIRECTOR (Former Employee), Daly City – June 27, 2013
Pros: growing company
Cons: rapid change including layoffs in the past year
I worked for Genesys for over 12 years. In the beginning the culture was very engineering focused concentrating on good products with a strong sense of collaboration. When I left, the culture was very focused on productivity with impossible demands for workload. The company's products are still very good, but most of the employees are concerned about – more... layoffs, don't trust management and don't see a real payoff for individuals in a coming IPO. The most enjyoyable part of working for this company is the true international atmosphere. – less
