WHO WE ARE
We are a small database development company that works with Microsoft technologies (Access, SQL Server, and VB.NET). In general, we create smaller, leaner, quicker programs for small companies. So there is a lot of variety and new challenges. We have more work than we can handle and need to hire experienced individuals to help us.
You work on various Access projects. The Business Analyst will provide you with the original spces but you will be responsible for creating and modifying the database. Over time you will accumulate a portfolio of projects for which you will have primary responsibility. Direct communication with the client is NOT REQUIRED. However, if you like it and are good at it, we prefer that you take on this role gradually over time.
ABSOLUTE MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
2000+ hours Access experience
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE (YOU SHOULD PROBABLY HAVE EXPERIENCE IN AT LEAST 5 OF THE FOLLOWING)
1. Creating tables with relationships
2. Update, append queries
3. Forms with subforms
4. Simple event code
5. Functions and procedures
6. Linking and importing
7. Creating a table in SQL server
8. Complex reports

The following experience is NOT required for the job: However, if you’ve worked with any of these programs you’ve definitely developed transferrable skills which will work in your favour.
MS SQL Server, MySQL, PHP, Crystal, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, BI, Postgres, Excel, SSRS, Visual Basic/Studio, VbScript, FoxPro, Paradox, dbase or any other database program or report designer.
The same goes if you’ve had any position as a DBA/database/software/application/business designer/analyst/programmer/developer/architect/engineer
