Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Business Development, this multi-faceted, leadership position will manage the day-to-day operations of our facility. As Duty Manager, your primary responsibility is ensuring positive customer experiences during our business operations (Drop-In, Sport Bookings, Special Events, etc.) as well as providing leadership and performance feedback to our team of Facility Attendants. Additionally this position will have elements of program development, community relations, special event planning and will actively market and sell all NECCS services and products including facility pass, facility rentals, programs and sponsorships.

Employment Terms:
-Starting salary range $38,000 - $42,000

-Modified full time work schedule as follows (hours/days may shift depending on business needs):
Saturday: 7:30AM-5:30PM
Sunday: 7:30AM-5:30PM
Monday: 1:30PM-11:30PM
Tuesday: 1:30PM-11:30PM

Role & Responsibilities:
-Coordinate all elements of our day-to-day operations:
-Hiring, training, scheduling, leading, mentoring, and reviewing performance of our Facility Attendant team.
-Attending to the front desk answering customer inquiries, phone calls, and selling facility passes and programs.
-Identifying and delegating tasks to both the facility attendants and custodial team.
-Handle cash and operate equipment – cash register, credit/debit machine, printers, camera, photocopier and computer.
-Order sport equipment, office stationary, and other supplies as needed.
-Supervise the security of facility guests/staff and assume the code lead duty during emergencies and first aid situations.
-Coordinate, build and manage the volunteer program.
-Assume a leadership position, acting as a crucial link between the senior management team and front line staff, ensuring the NECCS image and standards of service are always maintained.
-Provide exceptional customer service – utilizing strong communication and troubleshooting skills to manage all customer enquiries, requests, and complaints.
-The ability to communicate, market and sell NECCS services, focusing on drop-in admissions, facility passes and programs in addition to facility bookings and sponsorships.
-A thorough understanding of various aspects of the business including strong knowledge of the facility layout, facility passes, programs, bookings day sheet, public and special event schedule, and emergency procedures.
-Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:
-Post-secondary level of education, with transferable skills relevant to the job duties.
-Three years of customer service experience.
-Previous supervisory experiences with the proven ability to problem solve and be proactive without supervision.
-Professional and mature manner, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
-Standard First Aid/ CPR certification.
-Ability to pass a criminal background check – applications must be completed prior to the first shift.
-WHMIS certification is an asset.
-Multilingualism will be considered an asset.
