We are recruiting for a part time bookkeeper to work for our company that operates 2 Bars and a restaurants. You would be working in our office in Surrey, BC but the hours are flexible. We envisage that the role is around 16-20 hours a week.

The role includes weekly bookkeeping, bank account and supplier reconciliation, preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns, and preparing monthly management accounts in excel format. A full list of skills and duties follows below.

The successful applicant must be experienced, ideally with experience in the bar and hospitality sector, be able to work in the canada without restriction, must have excellent English skills, the ability to work both as part of a team and be self motivated and work without supervision at most times.

Skills required/Duties

Excellent knowledge of Sage line 50 and Sage Payroll
Excellent knowledge of excel
Entering invoices onto Sage's purchase ledger
Preparing VAT returns
Supplier statements reconciliations
Bank reconciliations together with daily pdq reconcilation.
Prepayments . Accruals .
Produce weekly P &L reports
Year End reconciliations . Timely delivery of management accounts (usually 2 weeks after the month end)
