Production & use of microsoft software
Data Entry Clerk (Former Employee), TNMay 17, 2014
Our day started at 6 o'clock in the morning , then we would have a daily warm up work exercise prior to the daily assigned work- station.
I learn to be a good team player in any work situation. Management
was supportive to the workers. The co-workers were friendly and extended their helping hand when needed. The hardest part of the job was waking up – more... at 4:30 am in the morning to get ready and go to work. The most enjoyable part of the job was the incentives that was given when the employees went beyond their projected production quota. – less

General Warehouse (Current Employee), Greenwood, INMay 3, 2014
Pros: employee appreciation once a year
Cons: management, pay, almost everything else.
poor compensation, management will tell you what you want to hear & do something totally different. supervisors are worthless & don't care about their departments. " a pass the buck" attitude.

GENCO is very male dominate upper management business. Lots of favoritism and not easy to get promotions or support.

General Warehousing (Former Employee), Plainfield, INApril 13, 2014
I loved working there. I got along with all the coworkers and had lots of fun parties. One of my favorite things about working there that they give you chances to learn new things. The supervisors were very helpful and helped me learn more.

Quality Assurance Specialist (Former Employee), Southaven, MSApril 11, 2014
Pros: good training.
Cons: clocking out for lunch wastes time.
Genco is a good company with professional employees which I'm sure is a priority from management. The training is above par as someone is assigned with experience in a certain area to teach me the procedures of the daily tasks I have to do. The most difficult thing is to learn how to make the right judgement call in a timely manner on the equipment – more... we have to analyze. But the coworkers are enjoyable as they are very helpful in the training I had. – less

great job environment with plenty of room & opportunities to grow within the company
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee), NJApril 1, 2014
Pros: opportunity for fast growth within the company, excellent healthcare benefits
Cons: short breaks, job instability, too many restrictions
A typical day at work included reporting to your department/section & following the same game plan everyday which was to meet the cpt's (critical pull time) for the product/pallets to be loaded onto the trucks & moved out
I learned a lifetime of things working at this company just to name a few:How to operate machinery such as the gaylord dumper,double – more... pallet jack & pacer/i got the opportunity to enhance my leadership skills
my co-workers are some of the brightest, promising people i have ever met
the hardest part of my job was the instability what i mean by this is the changing of the schedules, the changing of your position & dealing with job insecurity
the most enjoyable part was the excitement involved with working for such a huge company like amazon & the opportunities of growing fast within the company – less

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
If you where a favorite you would move up. If you weren't then you would stay right where you are busting your butt everyday. Management was horrible and wanted you to not like them. The most enjoyable part of the job was clocking out.

Returns, damage, hazmat and inventory specialist (Former Employee), Tooele, UTMarch 13, 2014
Pros: family oriented
Cons: it closed down and moved to a different state
While I was employed in the almost 4 years it was a fast paced great place to work. I learned many different positions in that short time it was great. the management and co-0workers were more like family. The hardest part of the job was getting ready for all the audits that kept us compliant for the environment. The most enjoyable part of the job was – more... the people I was working with, they were all so awesome. I will miss them all!! – less
