Reporting to the Director, Field Operations, this role will be responsible for the on-site supervision of construction activities that take place on Genalta Power work sites, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, workmanship and efficiency. The Construction Site Manager will be in a dual-role of managing sites, along with providing technical assistance and remediation where applicable. This person needs to wear both hats of site leader and implementer as we are growing our field teams. The Manager is in a position to be a leader within our Field Operations team, someone who will become an key player in providing field operations ‘best practices’ standards to Genalta Power, and is in a position to grow their career.
In addition the Construction Site Manager will be responsible for the efficient use of labour, machines, and materials by their crews, and will be constant communication with the Director regarding personnel, costs, schedule and safety.

Accountable for effective, timely management of Genalta Power waste-product to power site operations.
Responsible to ensure strict adherence to safety regulations.
Communicates with the Director, Field Operations as needed, daily and weekly to ensure anticipation of challenges which may impede Genalta Power site operations are mitigated.
Maintains strict adherence to Genalta Power policies and procedures.
Ensures technical diagnostics and maintenance of sites are timely and routine per schedule laid out.
Facilitates construction, commissioning, management and maintenance of Genalta Power sites, utilizing sub-contracted professionals.
Supervises all sub-contractors and trades to ensure work delivered is of the Genalta Power quality and standards.
Builds a strong reputation for delivery in the field and is equipped to grow a team of field service professionals.
Is a leader and mentor for ‘best practices’ regarding site construction, management and maintenance as the team grows.
Trade Certificate in appropriate construction related field or college diploma in construction management is an asset.
5+ years’ experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or equivalent.
Solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques.
Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills
Experience in procedural development for site processes.
Strong administration and organizational skills concerning site activities, safety, and all site assets.
First Aid skills and other relevant certificates are considered an asset but training will be provided.
Demonstrated effectiveness in the area of construction safety and productivity
Ability to understand engineering drawings, blueprints and equipment specifications.
Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation.
