Gay Lea Foods is a cooperative owned by over 1200 farmers - approximately one quarter of Ontario's dairy farmers. Our family of businesses span five production facilities in Toronto, Mississauga, Guelph and Teeswater where we manufacture milk, dips, cream, butter, sour cream, whipped cream, cottage cheese and skim milk powder.
In 2008, we celebrated 50 years of bringing you the best the industry has to offer. Over the years, our innovative products have created new trends in the Canadian marketplace. In the 1960s we were the first to bring frozen cheesecake to your table. We soon followed with whipped cream in aerosol containers, and the fun began! In 2005 our spreadable butter put an end to shredded toast and in 2006 our Nordica single serve fruit bottom cottage cheese won the consumer choice award for Best New Product in the dairy category.
