Summary of Position:

The Front House Manager’s (FHM) role is to provide leadership to employees who deliver an outstanding experience to our guests. The FHM must work closely with the Operations Manager and Kitchen Manager to coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation within a given Gaucho location.

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:

-Ensures guest focus is primary and that all employees follow established job standards.
-Achieving and/or exceeding sales projections as determined by operations manager.
-Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
-Providing ongoing monitoring, training and motivating of staff; including organizing pre-shift, monthly and product knowledge meetings.
-Make employment and termination decisions including interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining front house personnel as appropriate.
-Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
-Monitoring and management of restaurant POS and reservation systems.

Qualifications:

-Have experience and knowledge in the food and service industry involving at least three years of front-of-the-house operations and management.
-Be able to communicate clearly and effectively to managers, staff and guests.
-Exceptional leadership skills including ability to motivate staff and reassure guests.
-Must be proficient in software packages (spreadsheets, basic understanding of programming).
-Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to oversee the cash-out procedures and operate the POS system.
-Excellent grooming habits and the ability to mentor staff in appropriate grooming when necessary.
-Must model excellent time management skills as well as attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
-Able to multi-task under high-stress conditions; accomplish all tasks in the least amount time.
-Able to work day and/or evening shifts in a minimum 44 hour work week.

-Competitive hourly wage that reflects experience, payable bi-weekly
