Working at Ganz was okay. They have an RRSP plan that the company puts in a percentage for if you sign up, the pay was on the low side-but okay, the drug benefits were great, but they have low dental benefits and NO vision benefits or travel insurance.
Everyone seemed to have a myriad of Managers to answer to, which became quite confusing, and tedious at times. The management team I worked for did not hesitate to berate and insult you on a regular basis, both privately and publicly. Name calling, being yelled at, and being spoken to in a very rude and inappropriate manner was common practice. Considering who the manager was, no one complained or brought charges against this manager. They also did not acknowledge special days or personal tragedies. Birthdays, retirements, death in the family, were all ignored and kept secret from the rest of the department.
Training was in depth and well done, the facilities and equipment were well maintained, and the co-worker's were very friendly. I did learn a great deal there, however it was a struggle going in and dealing with certain management every day, causing actual physical illness in some people.
Ganz has the potential to be an amazing employer, however for reason's mentioned above, they fall very short in being a great place to work.
