Applications Engineer, Low & Medium Voltage


  • Helps evaluate incoming bid for GoNo Go decision based on technical requirements as required
  • Attend site meeting to evaluate requirements
  • Provide project assessment Players specs 3rd party partners
  • Participates in front-end-engineering design projects with Consulting Design Engineers for targeted jobs
  • Coordinates with third party providers partners into the fold as required and negotiates contractual requirements for third party providers based on individual project needs
  • Supports the client's internal bid approval process including legal reviews NDAs LoA approvals etc Provide support for PM methodology
  • Provide BU leaders risk associated with bid and possible solutions or recommendations to mitigate risk
  • Co-ordinate bid submission with sales plants and cross BU
  • Quotation preparation in whole for large and complex bids for targeted jobs
  • Provide technical support in change orders and project execution from a technical position
  • Provide market intelligence and ensure the Customer requirements are included in all proposals
  • Prepare Value Propositions on a project by project basis for presentation to Customer
  • Establish early engagement practices to provide early input for stakeholders' owners and Project Teams
  • Ensure the client's reliability standards are met


  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Technologist Engineering Technician Electrical estimators or electrician background with sound business acumen
  • P. Eng Certified
  • Technical understanding of electrical power distribution products system for the ANSI Canadian market
  • Experience working in sales electrical distributor electrical contractor industrial and consultant environment
  • Ability to read specifications and engineering single line drawings meet deadlines and work in a team environment
  • Must have above average verbal and written communication skills to deal with both internal engineering Project Managers and others as well as external suppliers partners and customers
  • Ability to do technical sales proposals with minimal supervision and a Can-Do attitude
  • Highly self-motivated focused, flexible and adaptable
  • Self-starter, team player who is results oriented and seeks business excellence and success to support the client's brand
