Sure, the planes get all the attention, but they don’t do it alone. There is an entire industry of highly specialized ground support equipment (GSE) that prepare, load, service, check and fuel these amazing machines.
Founded in 1998 and headquartered near Pearson airport, GSE-R-US is a recognized name in the aircraft ground support industry. We specialize in the sale and refurbishment of all types of equipment that can service an aircraft while it’s on the ground. We are currently looking to hire licensed mechanics who are able to work as part of a team to build and service an ever-changing inventory of ground support equipment.
Variety of work and room for personal growth can be achieved through this position. Candidates would be performing overhaul, refurbishment and extended repairs to self-propelled equipment, such as; tow tugs, cargo-loaders, belt-loaders, ground power units (generators), aircraft servicing units, passenger stairs, air starters, baggage tugs, deicing trucks, etc.
The ideal candidate will be a licensed mechanic or 5th year apprentice with strong skills relating to diesel and gas engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems and pneumatic (air) systems. Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Repair machines within reasonable time standards. Prepare accurate service reports. Work independently while also abiding by company health & safety rules. Must possess verbal and written English communications skills.
Experience of 5 or more years utilizing the above skills is an asset. Must have 310T or 310s Heavy Equipment License.
Candidates must have their own mechanics tools and safety shoes a must
Earn up to $26 per hour, based on experience.
Work hours: Up to 44 hours per week
Week Days, Start 7:00am – Finish 3:30/4:30 pm
