Position: Human Resources Recruiter
Location: Toronto, ON
Status: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Full-cycle recruiting for Head Office positions
  • Post open positions on job boards and with subsidy programs
  • Formulate Job Descriptions and grade all new positions according to Pay Equity
  • Maintain Job Descriptions
  • Maintain a social media presence for job opportunities
  • Source suitable candidates through job board’s resume search and websites (Monster, Indeed, LinkedIN etc.)
  • Facilitate and represent the company at job fairs
  • Screen applications for open positions
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews
  • Conduct criminal background checks and reference checks
  • Provide site managers with short-list of candidates for open positions
  • Coordinate in-person interviews with the Hiring Managers and provide guidance when necessary
  • Maintain a list of Co-Op programs and recruit for Co-Op students each semester
  • Other duties as assigned

HR Administration:

  • Manage employee subsidy programs to ensure rebates are received
  • Reconcile background check invoices
  • Provide reception coverage
  • Provide weekly and ad hoc reports on recruiting activities
  • Research market pay ranges and maintain compensation structures
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Human Resources program at a Post-Secondary level
  • 4-5 years Recruitment experience using social media sites
  • C.H.R.P. in progress
  • Full-cycle recruitment focusing on corporate recruits and head hunters

*Excellent technical and computer skills with the ability to learn and understand new programs and systems with ease

  • Proficient in all MS Office Applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Results orientated and multitasking
  • Strong telephone and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
