The Talent Advisor is responsible for meeting hiring needs by sourcing and assessing top quality candidates. The Talent Advisor provides recruiting support to various Solutions & Services related business groups by managing candidates and hiring managers through all phases of the selection process.
Advise hiring managers on overall hiring process, collaborate on job details, and advise on effective candidate assessment/interview techniques
Manage the required business group through ongoing communication and relationship building with hiring managers
Working closely with Solutions, Services & Sales Leaders and HR Business Partner Teams to gain a solid understanding of the business in order to proactively develop and execute effective recruitment strategies against hiring plans.
Delivering end-to-end search on active roles, including developing job-based recruitment strategies, accurate job descriptions, determine core capabilities for successful hires and generating assessment content to measure those capabilities / potential.
Screening shortlists of candidates, conducting and leading the interview process, managing debriefs discussions and offer processes, including compensation recommendations and offer negotiations.
Use a variety of sourcing methods to continually build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates
Select most appropriate advertising format for postings
Maintain knowledge of employment market trends
Participate in special projects and/or process improvement efforts as needed
Ensure positive applicant experience through the interview and hiring process
Consistently provide recruiting updates to the system and to managers as required in a timely manner
Ensure regulatory and compliance needs are met
Must have 7-10 years’ experience recruiting for IT positions, preferably in both a corporate and agency environment
Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience recruiting for Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, IT focused roles in a technology and a high volume environment
Ability to build confidence and strong relationships with hiring managers, Solutions, Services Leaders
Proven success using a variety of sourcing strategies including proactive sourcing techniques using social media and referral generation
Flexible, well-organized, able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines and produces high quality work in a timely manner
Strong excel skills and able to track and manage headcount for the sales business group using various different reports
Solid understanding of social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) and the ability to use these tools for sourcing methods
Pro-actively manages commitments to achieve multiple priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Must have Undergraduate degree and working towards CHRP or In the process of obtaining your PHR certification would be an asset (US candidate)
Experience recruiting in the US or CAN (US candidate) an asset
An understanding of human resources practices; specifically those related to recruitment
