We are looking for an independent, high-initiative, motivated individual to join our team in the role of *Production Supervisor (Night Shift)*.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day warehouse and production activities and performance of production staff. The Production Supervisor also assumes accountability for ensuring orders are filled and inventory is appropriately stocked, along with standard responsibilities associated with managing employees in a proactive and professional manner. This position reports to the Operations Supervisor.

Duties Include

  • Actively manage employees including participating in recruitment and progressive discipline activities, conducting performance evaluations, holding department meetings and ensuring strong morale is maintained
  • Lead by example when conducting all work tasks, particularly with regard to demonstrating exemplary communication skills and professionalism at all times
  • Manage to improve efficiency and productivity through continuous tracking of inventory and work order logs
  • Direct and schedule the activities of staff in order to meet production targets
  • Identify, develop, implement and improve upon procedures in conjunction with existing Company guidelines
  • Coordinate duties associated with inventory management (e.g. month end cut-off, labelling, cycle counts, physical counts, reconciliation, evaluations, etc.)
  • Ensure that inventory levels are properly managed and customer orders are filled in a timely fashion
  • Preparing monthly reports and participating in year-end inventory counts as required
  • Actively managing employees to ensure adequate training, skills and abilities are demonstrated regularly and consistently, and initiating actions for improvement when deficiencies are identified
  • Field inquiries to support the trouble shooting of concerns by both customers and employees
  • Ensure that management activities, such as performance appraisals, progressive discipline, scheduled inspections and action plans are completed in a timely fashion
  • Maintain safe work practices according to regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (i.e. perform regular workplace inspections, involved in accident/ incident investigations, correct in safe acts or conditions, training of new employees)
  • Initiate accident investigation report
  • Make recommendations for improving health & safety conditions in the workplace on an ongoing basis, and report deficiencies or hazards immediately
  • Enforce good housekeeping standards and maintain work environment in a clean and safe condition, adhering to applicable health & safety issues
  • Other duties as required


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years progressive experience in supervisory roles with demonstrated similar responsibilities
  • Experience in ISO certified and/or lean manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated familiarity with health, safety, environmental and employment legislation required
  • Strong communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Effective organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexible availability - Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Continental
