Responsibilities

  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading PCs, laptops, other peripherals, and Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
  • Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion with a positive attitude
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, associated peripherals, operating systems, and desktop application software and networking.
  • Windows 7 and Windows 8 administration
  • Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
  • Hardware/software support for desktop PCs and laptops
  • Rebuilding, reconfiguring, and physically deploying Office PCs and laptops
  • Application support for MS Office suite
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • Asset management
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues is required
  • Participate in various projects and work orders as assigned and complete assigned tasks on time
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 to 3 years of experience working as an IT Support Technician
  • Experience with Windows 8 / Servers / Active Directory / Exchange is an asset
  • Successfully obtained an IT certificate or diploma from an accredited organization and/or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated successful experience, aptitude and skill in analysis and troubleshooting of desktop / laptop and peripherals in a corporate environment
  • Capable of loading and unloading computer cart for delivering PCs
  • Excellent communication skill and positive customer service attitude
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Technical knowledge of Windows desktop and server environment
  • A+ certification or demonstrated equivalent work experience
  • TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Quota Management
