G.S. Broadcast Technical Services Ltd. is seeking a motivated and independent individual to fulfill the role of Broadcast Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be maintaining various radio and television studio and transmitter facilities in the GTA/Southern Ontario area.

Duties:
- Maintenance, repair and installation of audio and AM, FM and TV transmission equipment, computer equipment and associated servers and networks
- Maintenance of AoIP audio distribution systems (Wheatstone/Axia)
- Repair, maintenance and trouble shooting of satellite equipment
- Develop and maintain technical records and drawings
- May be required to climb, descend and/or work on a scaffolding, tower, pole or side of a building, may be required to work in restricted or close quarters
- Minor building repairs
- Assist with scheduled maintenance of studio and transmitter site emergency power, HVAC units, towers, etc.
- Flexibility with schedule required in response to emergency repair needs
- 24-hour On-Call response to emergencies

Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Broadcast Technology or related course of study, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience
- Knowledge and experience with FM and AM transmission systems
- Knowledge and experience with computer hardware, software and Local Area Networks
- Knowledge and experience with telecom systems
- Knowledge and experience with setup and maintenance of broadcast systems
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
- Able to use Microsoft Office suite, Visio and Microsoft Project
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Possess a valid driver’s licence with unrestricted access to a vehicle
- Strong proficiency using hand and power tools including, but not limited to, cordless drills, power saws, wire cutters, strippers, screwdrivers and soldering iron
- Ability to work with minimal support as part of a cooperative team in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be physically fit and able to care out all duties and responsibilities safely and independently
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and/or frequently un-supervised
