start off with daily pm's, learned alot about waste water management. management very familiar with machinery. very diverse place to work with great people. hardest part of the job was having production workers take ownership of there machine. best part of the job was getting machines repaired in a timely manor.

Cons: way too much overtime
Unproffessional Managers never do their job. Route manager in Fresno never gets on the truck to meet & greet customers. He always expected you to do your job faster, but he never had done it himself.

You have a valid concern, and it should not be "office gossip" I don't know the current status, but five years ago, everyone was required to complete one route ride per year. But a Route Manager job is to be on the truck to help you manage your route, remove obstacles and find areas to better serve the customer. My guess is your Branch Manager doesn't get out in the trucks either. For the good of the business, I would contact the "Help Line" and let someone know about this at the Corporate Office.

Pros: cookouts and holiday meals
Cons: short breaks and no growth in the workplace
I've learned alot of different skills working at G&k services but the hardest part of working there is working six days a week. I really like most of my co-workers and i've had great days at the workplace! A typical day at work is sewing lots of clothing and standing for long periods of time but i really enjoy sewing different uniforms.

Cons: really didn't get breaks
Customer service calls, data entry, order supplies for drivers and the office. Fix copier if it's jammed. Took orders over the phone and walk ins. I learned to deal with customers that were upset. Cons: very competitive and commodity driven.
Meet with business owners to offer facility services and uniform apparel. I worked with business owners from many different businesses from automotive to office environments. Clock in grab paperwork.Go around back grab a truck unload it with a forklift.Then bring it to the dock and begin to load it. I am forklift certified and have my DOT card.Co-workers were excellent i have great people skills.

Do you know what the AC (air-conditoning) people do? What they are accountable for? The hours they work (p.s. no pay for overtime for most). The pressure is high, but if you are working six days a week plus overtime, the AC people must be doing a good job. Low raises? G&K listens, even if you don't think so. The cost of living has hit the industry hard, but look at the benefit package you have available to you. It is a great program, and most employees favor protecting this benefit. Over-time is almost unheard of, most people I know would jump at the opportunity. Okay it sucks when in comes at the last minute. To meet and exceed our service to all customers, It has to be done. Count your blessings, where I live any job would be great,
