Support Analyst

Our client is an international software company offering business solutions for the Banking, Private Equity and Insurance industries. Their solutions serve customers across the world.

The Support Analyst focuses on post-production support of existing client base, which includes technical and business support of the full product suite.

- Provide onsite and remote support to the customer base for the suite of products
- Conduct onsite and remote installations and upgrades of software to client base
- Identify, validate and document product bugs
- Liaise with development group on product fixes and enhancements
- Work with consulting group to ensure efficient implementation to support transition
- Assist the team leader in managing the support queue
- Ensure all work meets prescribed standards in design and quality
- Assist with hands on user equipment diagnostics with direction from IT Manager
- Assist with configuration and distribution of equipment (laptops, monitors, cell phones, desk phones and access cards) to new employees; collect and secure equipment from exiting employees

- One year work experience on a software support desk
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related course work
- Excellent client management skills
- Understanding of programming concepts including variables, loops and functions
- Knowledge of SQL, SQL Management Studio and general backup/restore processes
- Understanding of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) version 6/7
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel
- Strong general problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Bilingual

Nice to have:
Previous experience supporting a financial software product
Microsoft Certified Professional qualification
Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including remote access methods
Working knowledge of a variety of Windows operating systems, from XP to 7, and the ability to troubleshoot day-to-day hardware and software user problems
Working knowledge of using and administering Windows 2003/2008 and Active Directory infrastructures
Experience working with SAS, VB.NET and JavaScript
