Our client has been servicing the pharmaceutical/medical industry for over 15 years. They are currently seeking a Project Manager to plan, execute, monitor and close projects within the standard constraints of scope, cost and schedule. This includes building and managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager is also responsible for scope control and the final quality of all project deliverables.
Responsibilities: Working primarily with the Account Manager and assigned project team, the Project Manager will:
Manage multiple projects under varying mandates and with multiple clients
Direct and manage the project lifecycle from initiation through closing
Define project scope, goals and deliverables in conjunction with project stakeholders
Effectively communicate project expectations to all team members
Develop project plans and obtain sign-off from all stakeholders
Manage budgets and timelines
Develop and deliver status/progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations as required
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings (internal and external)
Identify and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle
Proactively manage change and communicate associated costs to the Account Manager
Track project milestones and deliverables
Monitor project processes to ensure efficacy
Control the quality of outputs and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
Close and archive the project upon completion
Contribute to the development of tools and best practices in project management
Assume limited account management responsibilities in the absence of the Account Manager
Requirements:
University degree (health sciences, project management or communications an asset) and/or certificate in project management
2 years demonstrated experience in project management primarily in the pharmaceutical industry and/or related services
Self-starter who works well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment (critical)
Readily adapts to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral interpersonal and communication skills
Intermediate competencies with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
PMI CAPM or PMP certification (asset)
Multimedia experience (asset)
