The Business Analyst resource will be required to have:

  • Their own computers with licensed copies of MS Office 2007, MS Project 2003, and MS Visio 2007 or more recent editions of these software programs
  • An email account capable of sending/receiving large (10MB) attachments
  • A cell phone

Minimum requirements for the Business Analyst role:
Time Requirement

  • Part time for six months (approximately 3 days per week)


  • Participate in the creation of an integrated project management plan and on-going project and change management
  • Develop the Service Management Framework
  • Conduct a gap analysis of business capabilities and develop solutions to address any gaps
  • Assess the business and technical capabilities and readiness of health service providers for participation in the cSWO iEHR Program
  • Develop readiness assessment process and templates and initiate readiness assessment
  • Participate in the planning for cSWO iEHR rollout in the WW LHIN
  • Prepare educational materials
  • Prepare communication materials
  • Liaise with and support the Project CARE team (the Waterloo Wellington Clinical Tools Adoption Project) as needed
  • Project risk management including:
  • Developing a risk management plan
  • Risk assessment
  • Risk management strategy
  • Coordination of risk mitigation
  • Contribute to the project consistent with best practices for business analysts
  • Perform other duties as required by the Project Manager or CFFM FHT to facilitate the successful completion of the project


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior business analyst including projects of similar scale/scope
  • Extensive eHealth experience in a business analyst or related role
  • Experience with the assessment of health service provider (HSP) business and technical capabilities and readiness Experience with preparing reports and ensuring quality of reports and data
  • Experience participating in eHealth strategy and implementation planning initiatives


  • eHealth experience in Ontario at the provincial, LHIN, and HSP levels
  • Experience providing data and analysis to governance frameworks for multi-organization initiatives
  • Experience in the Waterloo Wellington LHIN


  • Knowledge of the eHealth Ontario EHR Blueprint and other relevant frameworks, strategies, and initiatives
  • Superior business modeling and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of integration architectures and technologies
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong ability to pay attention to detail
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant and best practices in business analytics from relevant methodologies


  • Knowledge of integrated eHealth services and infrastructure implemented in Ontario
  • Knowledge of the technologies employed in the Ontario eHealth sector (e.g. EMR, HIS, SPIRE, HRM)
  • Business Analyst certification
