Job Summary:

As part of the Financial Intelligence Team, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for all of the companies purchasing and payable activities. Working in under the direction from the Controller, the main duties include creating purchase orders, processing vendor payments, cheque runs, maintaining inventory, and assisting with general office administration. This position works 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday to Friday at the Fully Managed office located in downtown Edmonton, AB. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits that is available to the right "A" player.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Processing vendor bills and credit card charges;

· Matching, coding and completing cheque runs;

· Creating purchase orders;

· Purchasing products and services from vendors at the best possible purchase cost;

· Ensuring that the right amount of product or service is received when needed;

· Expediting outstanding purchase orders;

· Advising appropriate managers and personnel of shipping problems;

· Assisting in the monitoring of rush orders;

· Assisting with physical inventory count;

· Assisting with the development of purchasing/payable processes/procedures;

· Document accounts payable processes/procedures;

· Coordinate shipment of products to client sites;

· Other general administration and accounting duties as required.

Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

· 1-3 years related experience;

· Fundamental understanding of accounting;

· Knowledge of accounts payable processes;

· Working knowledge of QuickBooks is considered an asset;

· Basic proficiency with MS Office, specifically Excel;

· Extremely detail oriented with a high level for accuracy;

· Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization;

· Proven ability to prioritize incoming tasks appropriately;

· Self-Starter able to work under minimal supervision;
