The Project Manager and General Manager decide which jobs should be quoted. It is the responsibility of the Project Manager to prepare these quotes, obtain approval for the price from the customer. In detail the specific responsibilities include the following:
·Correspondence with the customer regarding quotes, tenders, bids, and contracts.
·Monitor the status of current projects.
·Organizing and obtaining drawings, specifications and addendum's as required for preparing the quotes.
·Ordering materials and supplies related to the project.
·Weekly Briefing the General Manager on all significant factors of a particular job.
·Ensuring input into any design activities is clearly defined and recorded.
·Manage changes throughout the project and communicate to relevant personnel.
·Following up with customers to ensure their satisfaction for the work performed.
·Organizing administration and filing of all project related paper work.
·Follow established quality, health and safety policies, procedures and rules.
The project manager is accountable for ensuring that everyone on the team knows and executes his or her role, feels empowered and supported in the role, knows the roles of the other team members and acts upon the belief that those roles will be performed.
