Duties:
- Responsible for monitoring compliance of GMP, Food safety policies and customer specific requirements
- Ability to mentor and train plant floor employees on various customer specific requirements
- Monitor workforce, production and packaging areas for violations of GMP’s, HACCP’s and SOP’s, and correct violations personally or in conjunction with the Quality Assurance manager and production staff
- Verify certificate of analysis and arrange testing for incoming raw material, WIP and finished goods
- Ensure daily GMP audit is conduction with FIFO and Allergen program check
- Understand the Quality Assurance Key Effort Priorities
- Monitor and record process control parameters according to set specifications
- Load and maintain the production databases in the Orion system with manufacturing related data
- Verify and monitor pest control program
- Conduct calibration of thermometers as per SOP
- Collect retention samples as required
- Conduct stock audits as required
- Act as Internal Auditor and assist with quality training of production personnel

- Ability to respond quickly and effective to rapid changing environment
- Understand and interpret customer’s requirements and develops procedures to ensure requirements are met
- Knowledge of statistical analysis
- Visual inspection of lines, plant area for any potential source of contamination, evaluation of ingredients, and finished products

Requirements:
- College Diploma in Food Science/Quality or minimum of 3 years work experience
- Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Principles
- Must have experience in food manufacturing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills and ability to analyze information
- Strong organizational and investigative skills with attention to detail
- Capable working independently and take direction
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills with Word and Excel
- Able to work in cold conditions

Salary: Up to $50,000
