ACCOUNTING ANALYST
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the job holder handles day-to-day accounts payable activities within the department. Processing and monitoring payments in an effective and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Ensure accurate input of A/P data
- Ensure all vendor account balances are accurate
- Organize cheque runs and arrange visa payments
- Handle vendor inquiries
- Prepare journal entries for daily petty cash expenses
- Ensure payable paperwork is entered in a timely manner
- Ensure payments are allocated in a timely manner
- Filing vendor invoices
- Follow accounts payable procedures for processing invoices
- Work with the Buying & Sale departments to resolve P.O. claims & price discrepancies
- Review daily cargo receipts & inform buyers of any quality issues
- Notify inventory groups of any data entry / receiving department errors on cargo receipts
- Reconcile various vendor account balances
- Other accounting related duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
WHAT YOU BRING
- College or University graduate (preferably Business or Economics)
- A keen eye for detail
- Strong financial skills (fast with numeracy and very analytical)
- A minimum of 5 years’ accounts payable experience
- Effective team player and relationship building training
- Fluent in English, Cantonese an asset
