Position Available: Partner Relations Internship

We are looking for a dynamic and committed Partner Relations Intern to join our Partner Relations
Team. The Partner Relations Intern serves to support the activities of the department in their ongoing information management and major gift donor stewardship initiatives. The Partner Relations Intern will work under the leadership of the Associate Director of Partner Relations. This position is an 8 month Internship.
An 8 month commitment is required. The Intern will be provided with $1000 per month. The position is based out of Free The Children’s International office in Toronto (233 Carlton Street). Roles and Responsibilities:
Reports to and takes direction from the Associate Director of Partner Relations
Supports the Partner Relations team in the tracking, monitoring and planning of major gift donor
stewardship activities
Record-keeping and donations processing for major gift donors
Serve as liaison for internal coordination amongst Free The Children departments to integrate
corporate, employee and adult engagement strategies alongside Free The Children’s calendar of
programming (e.g. liaising with Creative and Communications team to ensure development of
adult/employee-focused collateral for Free The Children campaigns) and to ensure strong
collaboration with Me to We’s Corporate and Family Engagement teams.
Documentation and knowledge sharing of trends regarding major partners, including:
o Generation of stakeholder analyses and partner briefing documents
o Reporting on employee engagement activities
Development of materials and resources to facilitate employee engagement activities
Support for third party events hosted by major partners including serving as an ambassador of
Free The Children at these events, preparation of event reports and compilation of materials for
external events
Skills and Qualifications:
Postsecondary Degree in related field
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills in all internal and external relations
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight
deadlines
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team setting
Commitment to maintaining accurate and detailed files, databases and work logs
Excellent comprehension and ease with the application of Microsoft Office programs, particularly
PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Outstanding work ethic
Positive attitude, high energy, flexible and enthusiastic
