Fraser Valley Community College (FVCC) offers diploma and certificate courses in the areas of Business, Technology , Environment and Language. The motivated and dynamic team of FVCC is committed to delivering the highest quality learning experience to the students. To teach marketing, Financial Accounting, Taxation, E-Business Systems Analysis & Design courses for different programs offered by the college, FVCC requires full time/part time Instructors for immediate start. FVCC is looking motivated individuals with a proven track record of teaching marketing course in similar institution. The right candidates will be an integral part in the future expansion of our college. Besides other qualifications, the candidate should have a PIDP (Provincial Instructor Diploma Program)

Responsibilities:

  • Instructs course for different programs
  • Administer students evaluation including conducting examination, evaluating exam paper & assignments and reporting grades and marks to the president
  • Maintain a positive learning environment. Facilitate student learning activities that encourage collaboration and positive peer relationships
  • Monitor progress of the students towards achieving goals and objectives
  • Share knowledge and resources with other staff of the college that enhance learning opportunities for the students.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in the concerned field is minimum(Masters Degree is preferred & a PhD is plus point)
  • Should have successfully completed the PIDP (Provincial Instructor Diploma Program)
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in similar institution
  • Relevant experiences will be considered as an asset
  • Should be working skills in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., word, outlook, excel etc)
  • Must be comfortable working in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Speaking Punjabi/ Hindi is a plus point
  • Must have a valid work permit/ authorization in Canada
