ECE Education Coordinator
CEFA Richmond Crestwood Junior Kindergarten - Richmond, BC

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to act as Education Coordinator in our CEFA
Richmond – Crestwood team. The desired person is enthusiastic in working with children, families
and our educational teammates.

Qualifications

  • A valid ECE License for a minimum of 4 years
  • Willing to take the CEFA training
  • Familiar with CEFA methodology and curriculum an asset
  • Experience with child care and pre-K settings
  • Familiar with BC Licensing Regulations
  • Have knowledge of the software used at CEFA, such as: Words, Windows, Outlook,

Excel and the Internet

  • Have great leadership
  • Excellent in communication and management skills

Responsibilities
The Education Coordinator / Vice Principal is the only person who is constantly immersed if the
CEFA curriculum, new developments, educational strategies and material. You represent the
CEFA methods, its philosophy and its application. You are there to establish a relationship of trust, inspiration, pride and happiness amongst teacher especially, and staff in general. The Principal’s role is to inspire teachers to become better and to facilitate the implementation of the
CEFA educational method and philosophy.

In general, the Education Coordinator will:

  • Ensure that the CEFA curriculum and general operational policies are carried out
  • Provide stimulation and motivation for teachers to spend time growing and learning

together

  • Monitor teacher’s progress and provide positive feedback regularly
  • Work with teachers to promote their strengths and continue to develop in all areas
  • Be resourceful in various resources and willing to share experiences and insight
  • Blossom the positive relationships among teachers, staffs, parents and children
  • Provide teachers with written feedback and observations
  • Ensure teachers are following all procedures as detailed in the CEFA manuals
  • Track the overall progress of students by observing their work and level of participation
  • Be ready to explain to others all the particulars of the school
  • Monitor and handle all aspects of teacher guidance
  • Be available to stay outside of regular hours of work, to meet with teachers or

management, or to catch up on outstanding work

  • Participate in school and community events
