1st Cook: 3-5 years as a 1st cook; Banquet experience in a fast past, large volume, restaurant /hotel/banquet setting within a professional kitchen setting. Knowledge and execution of both hot and cold stations is mandatory. Experience with assisting in month end inventory and food deliveries is an asset. Experienced Line cooks will also be considered.

2nd Cook: A minimum of 2 year’s experience as a 2nd cook, working in a fast past, large volume, restaurant/ hotel/ banquet setting. Dishwasher relief when required. Experience with assisting in month end inventory and food deliveries considered an asset.

Dishwasher: Experience is an asset. Be flexible with shiftwork, able to take direction, excellent organizational skills required, positive attitude, pride, and values. Knife skills are an asset. There is room for advancement within organization.

Skill Requirements/ Experience/Work Condition/Physical Capabilities:

Fast-paced environment, able to meeting conflicting deadlines, ability to lift up to 50Lbs, and be detail-oriented. Be flexible with shift work, am, pm, closing. Due to fluctuating volumes of the Restaurant and Banquet services, schedule days off will vary, based upon business requirements.

Specific Skills:
Prepare and cook full course meals and individual dishes and foods. Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions. Food preparation for guest s with food allergies or intolerances. Inspect kitchens and food service areas. Maintain inventory and records of food, kitchen supplies and equipment, ensure clean kitchen and work areas at all times. Wash dishes.

Ric’s Lounge and Grill takes pride in serving only in-house made products, including bakery goods and desserts, stocks, soups and sauces, eggs and dairy, cold kitchen (salads, appetizers, sandwiches), vegetables, fruits, nuts and mushrooms, meat, poultry, pasta, game, fish, seafood, pizza for lunches, dinners As well as full course meals, plated banquets and buffets.

Education/ Experience:
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.):
Cook Trade Certification, food safe certificate

Languages:
Be fluent in English, both written and oral or bilingual

Work Setting:
Restaurant/ Hotel and Banquets

Team player, detail orientated, critical thinking skills
Able to work with minimum supervision
Required to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Able to lift up to 50 pounds
