SOME DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets company goals into overall marketing strategies for approval, communicates and assigns objectives for each product/product line to the responsible marketing specialists.
Directs and manages the development of product/product line business plans and marketing strategies, advertising and promotion plans to ensure they are integrated and consistent with overall company strategic objectives.
Monitors the effectiveness of marketing strategies to ensure target revenue and profit achievement.
Obtains customer feedback to assess satisfaction levels and new market requirements.
Directs market research activities to ensure adequacy of proposed methodology and integration of results into marketing plans and product development.
Administers contracts for marketing support services such as advertising, sales promotion, and market research.
Analyzes the company's markets and it's competitors to identify third party product requirements and/or new market focuses and makes recommendations to senior management concerning specific opportunities.
Provides liaison between the marketing function and sales functions to ensure coordinated marketing and sales effort.
Develops business case for recommendation to senior management on changed corporate policies, technological approaches or business sector focus.
Approves exceptions to policy after review and in-depth evaluation of various factors. Identifies whether such approval requires review by senior management.
Facilitates and ensures individual and team roles and responsibilities are understood; performance measurement objectives are identified, measured and monitored on an on-going basis in order to provide positive feedback on accomplishments and to ensure immediate action is taken to address shortfalls.
Ensures a positive work environment and awareness by all staff of company goals and objectives.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
University degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent within the HIgh Tech Industry (Software Development, Hardware/Firmware or IT Consulting Services)
Minimum 7 years experience in marketing
Minimum 2 years experience in a marketing supervisory position
Demonstrated success in leading strategic multi-product/services marketing.
