Computer Science Instructor (Computer Programming, Web Design, Robotics, Minecraft Game Design) (Elementary School/High school)
Focus Learning is seeking part time Computer Science instructors who are available to teach both high school and elementary students. This is also a great opportunity for teachers who want to create their own curriculum and fun engaging projects for after school activities. Our programs include: Computer Programming (using Scratch), Web Development (html5), and Minecraft Science (game design, Java). Availability time from 9:30 to 5:30 pm on Saturdays, or 4pm to 8pm on weekdays, 9am to 4pm during March Break (March 10 - 14, 2014), and Summer Camp (June 30 - August 31, 2014) Hours of work would range from 2 to 20 per week.
- HTML, C++, Python, VISUAL BASIC, JAVA
- capable of developing course materials and curriculum with guidance from lead instructors;
- experience in computer programming and ability to communicate computer terminology in simple terms.
Certificate in Computer Programming, Certificate of teaching preferred, technical certificate in robotics and combined applied experience or Engineering degree.
1-3 years teaching elementary students
