It's good enough.
Subway Sandwich Artist (Former Employee), Moriarty, NMJune 15, 2014
There's always something to do, and it's very fast paced. Management is average, and the job is fairly easy. You make sandwiches with a smile and clean the fastest you can. You also get paid minimum wage, but the job is also transferrable. Always training and learning something new too.

worst company to work for
cashiergas pumpermaintenancecoffee hostdeli (Current Employee), carneys point njJune 5, 2014
Pros: the day i put my two weeks in
Cons: they wont give lunches unless you plead for one
it was fine before november 2013. they brought a new manager in and it became a living....well..... they hire new employees at 2 dollars more than employees whove been there years, they make you work 7 days a week with 4 hour shifts and if you do have a day off you have 30 hours and a 10 hour shift then a 2 hour shift. the manager is poorly running – more... this store "numbers" can look good all they want but the employees are very unhappy, so goes for the truckers. i guess its a good thing the truckers know the little people in this god forsaken company care. if youre going to work for this company head on down to pilot its right down the street, the manager is a lot nicer and doesnt mess with hours if he doesnt like you. – less

stressful but fun environment to work in
Deli Manager/ Shift Supervisor (Current Employee), Brunswick, GAJune 2, 2014
Overall I love going to work at Flying J. I work all different shifts so no day is the same there. You deal with all kind of customers traveling all over the USA because of their jobs. The management I work for is great they work around your schedule and always try to help you out when you are in need. The hardest part of my job is making sure I get – more... all of my tasks done each and every day. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to meet all different kinds of people and interact with everyone. – less

Need better management and background checks of employees
Cashier (Former Employee), Williamsburg, KYMay 31, 2014
needs management that tells the truth and does background checks on employees before moving them or promising them advancement positions. The GM at this store has no idea what hes doing and neither does the female asst management. he lies and tells employees what he thinks they want to hear and never lives up to it. he puts his work duties off on other – more... management and then blames others for failures of what the store. – less

UNDERSTAFFED
Shift Leader (Former Employee), ChannahonMay 24, 2014
Pros: half off a deli sandwich if you get your lunch
Cons: money hungry company who cares less about drivers and employees.
HORRIBLY UNDERSTAFFED WITH AN IMPOSSIBLE WORKLOAD. 1 CASHIER, 10 CUSTOMERS IN LINE, NO COFFEE IN THE DELI, NO CLEAN SHOWERS BECAUSE YOUR RINGING UP A LONG LINE OF CUSTOMERS THAT IS CONTINUOUS FOR HOURS. YOU HAVE TO WALK AWAY FROM ANGRY DRIVERS IN LINE TO MAKE COFFEE AND CLEAN SHOWERS FOR ANGRY DRIVERS WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING. A VICIOUS CYCLE EVERY DAY. – more... PILOT NEEDS TO INCREASE THEIR PAYROLL TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR DRIVERS NEEDS AND STOP WORRYING ABOUT MAKING SUCH A HUGE PROFIT OFF THESE PEOPLE. – less

Poor Shedualing
Sales Associate (Former Employee), Ruther Glen, VAMay 23, 2014
Pros: the customers and coworkers
Cons: management, schedualing, and missing hours on paychecks.
The work was good but the management was poor and always changing and as such the scheduals was always being messed up. When it came to getting paid there was always hours missing from my paycheck. The coworkers and the customers were the best part of the job. My coworkers were fun and upbeat which helped pass the time by. The customers ranged from – more... your rude annoyed to delightful and conversable. – less

Good
Pilot (Former Employee), Mount Sterling, KyMay 22, 2014
Would consist of doing luandry for showers, clean bathrooms, sweep and mop retail area, and other duties as needed. Management was really good, co-workers were awesome and was not hard to work with anyone. Keeping up on everything because it has as much traffic as an airport bathroom. Just working there was good loved the management and coworkers made – more... it worth going to work everyday. – less
