Flightfox, the world's first crowdsourced travel marketplace, is looking for a Writer & Editor. You will work with our internal team, our 1,000+ flight experts, and external writers, to publish engaging content that promotes travel hacking as a concept.
You will particularly focus on long-form pieces that,
- explore travel hacking tradecraft, and
- showcase our customers' (and team's) best trips.
We are not a shallow content factory; we are committed to publishing detailed investigative work. This means our content can become quite technical, so your time will be split between researching, writing, editing and publishing.
You will manage a budget to work with external writers, but ultimately be responsible for the publishing process and all published works. This is a chance to evolve from a pure writer to managing editor and work with the world's best travel hackers.
You must have formal writing qualifications or a track-record of publishing work to a large audience. A deep interest in travel is also important.
Above all, you should be an output-oriented writer with an obvious flair for copywriting or creative writing. We prefer candidates based in Montreal, but will make exceptions for experienced remote writers with solid track records.
We pay well, but don't offer free lunch, health, or gym memberships. Instead, we offer a key position in a unique company that will take you to the far reaches of the globe.
You will learn how to fly premium class for cheap and take at least one overseas trip per year for user testing, offsite brainstorms, or to experience Flightfox yourself.
