A premier provider of nutritional sports nutrition supplements is currently seeking one experienced Business & Brand Development Representative for Alberta & Sasketchewan. The incumbent will represent Fit Foods Ltd. to all customer accounts in a designated geographical territory, to obtain optimum distribution of products by reaching and exceeding their sales performance objectives. The incumbent must originate sales/leads or prospects, organize presentations/demonstrations, draft quotes and present proposals, close sales leads, and follow-up with clients/accounts to continually increase the gross sales and gross profit of the territory. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
Plan daily-weekly-monthly customer contacts and prospecting strategies
Make daily sales contacts with customers and prospects through appointment, drop-in, telephone, and e-mail
Develop new business opportunities, key accounts, and provide superior customer service with an ability to build strong relationships with existing customers
Meet and exceed sales quota’s and objectives by; service, selling, and collecting from all existing and new accounts in the territory
Contacting current customers, indentifying new products, and potential up-selling by assessing customer needs and resources
Identify product(s) the customer requires that may not be stocked by the Company and sourcing the product(s)
Develop, service, and grow existing customer base by responding to, and processing incoming calls/orders, and developing other sales leads by making both cold and warm calls
Providing pricing quotations and following up on quotes, process quotes, orders, and prepare documentation in order to fulfill customer needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
Field customer concerns and recommend solutions for resolution. Act as a resource and facilitator to resolve customer service issues as they arise
Conduct retailer employee training sessions, and provide leadership and good sales management practices to Demo Staff
Maintain Accounts Receivable balance corresponding to company accounting target objectives, and where applicable make calls for collections. Process Credits/Debits, and returns as required
Maintain records, information flow, & other administrative details; such as submitting properly completed expense reports on a monthly basis
Be available for trade shows, consumer and/or industry events, and other travel where required
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Diploma in Marketing and Sales, or Business preferred
Minimum 5 years experience involving direct customer service and sales, those individuals with product knowledge or industry experience preferred
Proven ability to build strong professional working relationships, with ability to motivate people in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Consistently demonstrates respect, responsiveness, and professionalism towards others, while providing superior service for customers
Ability to effectively find common grounds with suppliers, customers, and other team members which results in agreements
Uses a systematic approach to identify and address problems, take advantage of opportunities and take action in order to accomplish tasks, and to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and customers
Self motivating individual with ability to make cold calls, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high energy, customer service-focused environment. This position will require a significant amount of travel away from home.
Must be a self starter with good administration, organizational skills, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, direct and control actions in order to get tasks completed and to meet customer needs
Works independently to identify and resolve problems, discrepancies, and issues to ensure key topics are addressed, and to ensure that important information is shared quickly and effectively
Seeks opportunities to improve individual, team, and departmental performance results and to acquire new product knowledge and skills
Proficient in Microsoft office
