Terrible management and workers act like high schoolers
Nutek division (Former Employee), Mcelhatan,pa – May 3, 2013
Pros: good schedule
Cons: awful management, short breaks, bad workers!!!
The worst place I ever worked worked hard and it was never good enough would rather you walk around acting like your working then actually getting anything done management was terrible would pick me out of the group and tell me I was taking to long of a brake when I was doing what everybody else was doing. Got sick of being picked on and decided I had – more... enough and quit after my paid lunch and left th stranded so someone else could do their bullcrap jobs for them!!!! – less

What a joke
Warehouse (Former Employee), Lock Haven, PA – March 23, 2013
Pros: there's a roof, benefits
Cons: too many
That's it. Lock Haven First Quality is a joke. Their training involves tagging you with someone who's been there for 2 weeks. If your tied to a line forget about getting your breaks. 12 hour shifts with mandatory OT is not unheard of. But when your making 11-12 dollars an hour it's a no go. It's a real generic place with generic people. Last day i was – more... there i worked a 12 then went to a manditory meeting where a dude read a safety poem for an hour. Now I work at Pepsi for 18$ an hour and have every Saturday off. Living the dream compared to FQ. – less

Stay away ! Other good work is out there!
Planning (Former Employee), Anderson, SC – February 6, 2013
Pros: company store to buy from monthly -
Cons: job security, work conditions -
Agree with what other person said about ownership living large and looking for cheap labor areas to exploit.
Company doesn't care about employees - looking out for themselves. Turnover and dismissals are VERY BAD!

Horrible place
Maintenance reliability (Former Employee), Anderson SC – January 22, 2013
Pros: you keep busy
Cons: company lies about everything
The management was always looking for something or someone to pin the blame on for their own shortcomings. It was never about what you know but more so who you know. The coworkers were great but were all mistreated and looking for other jobs. The raises and pay promised to me and many others was a lie. Don't believe anything this company says always – more... make sure everything is in writing. – less

First Quality Engineering / Manufacturing
Project Technician (Former Employee), Lock Haven, PA – January 10, 2013
Pros: not many it s a job
Cons: its very much who you know not what you know.
1. Compensation and Benefits once you have tenure 5-10 years or more experience there is a good chance you will be laid off and replaced with a lower paid person. Pay rates are low that is why they build their facilities in depressed areas. But Ownership lives on Long Island.
2. Culture Whatever ownership says you do.
3. Values - Void
4. Job Security – more... be a yes man and you will go far.
5. Management - refer to items 2 - 4
6. Work balance - salary 10 hrs expected - hourly 3-2-2 shift - 24-7 facility you may have to work holidays depends on orders. – less

Hard working Company
PRODUCTION LINE TEAM MEMBER (Former Employee), Macon,GA – November 28, 2012
Pros: fast pace manufacturing experience
Cons: very strict, not a job to take lightly
• Extensive knowledge of the production line process in order to instruct employees.
• Responsibly ensured all my paperwork was accurate/audits performed/complete routine quality inspections/ Performed audits to ensure compliance to safety procedures and regulations.
• Disciplined 8-point attendance policy
Reassigning line members or revising schedules – more... to accommodate absences/tardiness puts a burden on all team members efforts to maintain high levels of productivity and achieve goals
• Accurately ensured metrics were met on quality, efficiency, safety, and inventory adjustments.
• Discreetly protected confidential information to accelerate competitiveness – less

Favoritism and unethical treatment of employees
Production Worker (Current Employee), HAZLETON, PA – August 28, 2012
Pros: paid lunch and break time.
Cons: nepotism, favoritism, politics, and working shorthanded. don't always get to take breaks.
Apply only if despirate, or your afraid to take a preemployment test! Nepotism, Human Resource department run by uncle and neice. Most of the managers worked with the HR manager at another company so there is no fair treatment in resolving issues with HR. They have a gym but 12 hr employees can only use it before or after work, or on days off. There – more... is tuition reinbursement if your class qualifies; but with the work schedule you can only take online classes. Safety department addresses hazards AFTER individuals get injured. There will be alot of times you will be working short handed. Overtime is strongly encouraged if you want good performance reports and pay raises. – less

A simply aweful place to work at
Warehouser (Former Employee), Lock Haven, PA – May 15, 2012
Pros: health care benefits, on probation, then you get none.
Cons: 12 hour shifts, replacement does not show you work it for them
This place does not offer any career advancement. Unless you are friends with management. You will get overlooked. They say, that they have educational benefits, yet none were offered, even when they posted, to help with your education. They look down at and make fun of their workers, in the lower ranks. I worked all weekend during the holidays, and – more... the upper management came over, to shake my hand, and could not even remember my name. A number of them had to get together to figure it out. How sincere is that. I worked there for around 2 years, and they could not remember my name. They won't remember, yours either, but will tell you you are part of a team, and tell their boss after they take your idea, that it is theirs. The owners are from the middle east, the products are shipped in from Canada, with the machines come from Germany, and they say the product is made in the United States. – less
