I had the opportunity to be part of the team at First Health Care for a duration of 2 months due to decreased in call volume. It was a good experience taking into consideration that the job is telephonic. I did grew in terms of professionalism, active listening and company development. A typical day at work is relax. The management wants to make sure that their staff are comfortable and at ease doing the work. My co-workers were very welcoming and ready to help; I felt like being part of a family working with them. I will not say that the work is easy however, it is not difficult. The workload is manageable, you need to be a good listener and practice active listening that makes the experience even better speaking with elderlies. You also need to be caring in order to understand client's need, a positive attitude and patient to provide them with good resources. Overall, I did have a good short time working with First Health Care because of their positivity with opportunity to grow professionally.

Not much restaurants around, sitting for a long period of time, may feel the need to walk for fresh air

The management are truly supportive and interested in employees. The workplace is kind and provides opportunities for professional growth. The hours are flexible, the staff work together as a team and collaborate on many issues with the various departments. I worked In Hospitals and In home care. I worked with clients with different problems. meet so many different people and care for adult and children. I travel a lot to different homes in Ontario. I worked on my own therefore i had no co-worker. the hardest part of this job is travelling from place to place in the snow.

- Taking your staff throught orientation and training in the use of computer as related to the particular hospital are creditable values to FHC. - The management is well organized and coordinated; communication with staff is good and relaible. - The hardest part of the job is trying to acquiant and orientate yourself with every unit they send you to work, meeting with new staff at each unit. -The typical day at work was my first day at the hospital, it was mixed experience, it wasn't easy but at the end of the day I was happy and satisfied and has ever been. - The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with co-workers, sharing experiences and helping each other.
