Journeyman Parts Salesperson (Red Seal) (Current Employee) – Kamloops, BC – 5 February 2018
Great place to get your Journeyman ticket. Company mood seems to change whenever the CEO changes, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the bad. When times are good the company is great to work for and when times are bad, they get real bad at Finning.
2nd Year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician (Former Employee) – Fort McMurray, AB – 30 January 2018
I enjoyed working with Finning however they have many areas to improve in if they want to grow as a company. As competition arises they are unable to handle a customer service standard that other companies may be actually doing better. They will struggle to get contracts for big mining operations and get put on warranty work to sustain older equipment that soon will be replaced by another brand. This makes the company not a reliable source due to budget cuts and lay offs. I believe management is to blame because I have worked with customers directly and they are always pleased with the maintenance that was provided.
