Purpose
The Service Technician is fully competent in all Laborer competencies; this role requires strong mechanical aptitude and proven plumbing/mechanical skills with some electrical aptitude, which would be considered an asset. Scope of work includes: installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of our rental equipment fleet. Other responsibilities may also include the operation and service of water, wastewater or process water plants under the supervision of an Supervisor/Engineer.

Responsibilities
Thoroughly completes and submits Service Tickets accurate and timely, within 24 hours of job completion
Maintains Service Checklists
Prepare Water Sample Paperwork, lab submittals and daily reports as required
Full knowledge of plant operations, when operating a plant ensure plants are compliant with Company and ISO guidelines and are in good clean working condition
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve plant operation issues
Operates Company vehicles in a responsible manner and conducts pre and post truck and trailer inspections and submits completed reports in a timely manner
Manage field receipts and expenses for projects/jobs and submit in a timely manner
Responsible for truck and trailer maintenance as directed
Demonstrate ability to train, direct and supervise laborers
Ensure all customer documentation is accurate, complete and signed off
Responsible for ensuring a strong customer focus and service and maintaining strong client relationships
Rotation in on-call schedule
Maintains and tracks assigned Company tools
Demonstrates excellent cost control skills

Qualifications
High School Diploma
2 or more years of experience in oilfield service, plumbing, electrical and mechanical experience is considered an assetMust possess a active and valid Class 5 driver’s license, accompanied with a drivers abstract

Skills
Quick learner that demonstrates initiative and is a self starter
Ability to work in a fast paced work environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Possess strong working plumbing knowledge
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required
Strong problem solving skills

Work Environment
Primarily will be based in a shop environment, however, regular travel in a remote camp and rig locations in Alberta and BC will be required

Travel Required
Will be required to travel to remote site locations on a regular basis
