Hardest part of the job is the studying for the series 7 and 63 exams. During tax season, gets really busy, dynamic environment to work in, everyday is different. Great company and great management.

A typical day would be taking calls for the pension and 401k customers and assist in various tasks.

Nice people, good benefits routine can get boring at times.

Worked as a Product Manager for the Active Trader Pro team. My typical day consisted of working with product designers and web developers to create the next generation of Fidelity's ATP online trading product. In addition, I gathered and categorized customer feedback on the current product to learn what clients liked or disliked about the ATP product. – more... I was responsible for change recommendations based on my experience as a Trader. Management was great and supportive along with a great team who always was willing to help you learn. I am a former "Big Green" employee, and it was living Hell. Accent phone, clocking in and out to use the bathroom, get a drink of water, micromanged to death, shift bids, being assigned to weird off-hours shifts, "coaching moments", "food days", "jeans days", etc. Awful, just awful. I would't wish it upon my worst enemy.

A terrific place to work. Focused on managing teams that was responsible for service delivery to large employers.

Fidelity was an interesting place to work I learned a lot about finances and the different areas of funding. I enjoyed running the mail machines however the work was laborous, a lot of time spent on your feet.

In the Merrimack call center from 2000-2002, I took inbound calls from customers and prospects who requested mutual fund materials and account servicing assistance. Job can be stressful and mundane. Great benefits and perks. Great training opportunities. Above average than the regular call center work, but still customer service when it boils down to it. Long hours sitting down. Decent pay for the job, could be better.

Fidelity Investments was a good company to work for overall. But, management was terrible. I felt that they really didnt care about us. They just wanted to make sure that the job was done. We had meetings every other week on job security. So, you didnt know the one day you went to work was it going to be our last day there.

I interned at Fidelity twice in their Human Interface Design department. I ran two of my own research studies there with the help of the wonderful team there.
