Back Up Team Leader (Current Employee) – Brantford, ON – 1 January 2018
If you are on the product floor you are treated unfairly , you are a no body. You are easliy replace. If you are a Team leader or above you have it made (you can't do any wrong) favouritism is outrageous in this place. The shift work is really hard on your body.
Production Operator (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 11 October 2017
A typical day at work is when you go in your are assigned the line your going to run and the amount of people you need and have to meet the required percentage of work that day.
I learned how to operate a line, work with a few machines, work with computers, how to sanitize and clean each line at the end of the week, direct and be in charge of 10-15 or more individuals at a time.
Clean and safe work environment, but unorganized at times
Lots of great people to work with but those odd individuals here and there that don't like to listen and make your time not as enjoyable.
The hardest part of the job is being in charge of so many employees at a time who don/t always want to listen and having to direct each person and show them how to do there job on the line and still have to run the line and do all your paperwork and ensure everything is correct. Also having people that don't always work well with each other. The rotating shifts are hard from 1 week days to afternoons to nights. I don't like that when you accept a contract its for a short period of time and you don't no if its going to be renewed or not. They can replace you at any time no matter how long you've been there.
The most enjoyable part of the job is learning new things everyday and meeting new people. When you get a contract the pay is great too.
pay rate is great for contracts, reasonable breaks, good people
I had a good experience but I have seen a lot of mistraeatment
General Labourer (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 26 September 2017
I generally had a very positive experience with Ferrero , My line leads were usually very friendly with me and the work was simple. However I had seem a lot of line leads and higher ups be VERY rude to other employees ( especially temps ) . There are a lot of very miserable people there and that is the biggest downfall.
Production Operator (Current Employee) – Brantford, ON – 1 June 2017
This company does not care the least about peoples well being or life. They train you tell you, you are doing well and then drop you like a hat, call you a couple weeks later to basically do the same thing.
Manager (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 24 May 2017
Best place to work, earn high end money, and spend a large part of your day. Company is always growing and always looking for skilled workers. Rotating shifts can be an issue if you have a family. Otherwise you can't really complain. Can be noisy and some people can have zero class. But that's the way it is everywhere. Bad place if your past your prime though. Good place for younger people.
General Labourer (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 25 March 2017
Only way to get in there is through a temp agency, racism against the Muslim workers, safety oversights and HORRIBLE training. Also if u miss a day u lose the job, bad for anyone with health issues or a family. Zero benefits but if u like overtime there's that...
Machine Operator (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 20 January 2017
If you are not offered a contract after your first season, move on. I was a permanent employee and was driven out after they found out I was thinking of going back to school. I am now working in the medical field and will never have to answer to someone with a high school education again. Aim higher, applicant!
Temp worker (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 23 November 2016
Managers and supervisers are not nice. Ridiculous expectations of work. Not worth the money. Lunch room felt like death as all temp workers hated the job. The constantly shifting hours are bad and cannot be healthy.
Operator/Labourer (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 15 October 2016
Safe and respectful environment
I learned something new everyday which made work interesting , my co-workers were easy going and fun to work with I recommend anyone to work at Ferrero , its a run clean safe place to work management is responsible and good listeners always there when there's a problem
Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) – Brantford – 15 October 2016
Great place to work if you're salaried employee terrible place to work if your hourly. Favoritism and unfairness run rampant to the company. Those who are unqualified they seem to be the ones that get promoted. Cheap company considering they make huge profits... they throw more in the garbage than you'll ever be given to you in a lifetime.... avoid it at all costs.
Good benefits, some areas air-conditioned
Forced mandatory overtime, unfair treatment, rotating shift, some areas cold or hot
Line Worker (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 4 October 2016
A typical day working at Ferrero consists of multiple duties on the line. There are different departments the temp agency placed you in. To make the job successful this included careful inspection of the products, clean hygiene as to dealing with edible products, and the most important thing was high quality since this Ferrero's characteristics is global. There were days where management could have been more organized but other than a few problems, management was well. There were no hard parts to this job coming from my personal experience as a worker there, it was easy and dependable where you were placed.
Rotation every week from nights, days and afternoons.
Production Line Operator (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 1 September 2016
Great company with a good history, which gets lost through the various levels of management, completely unfortunate. No one truly gets to know you. Highly automated facility with the manufacturing of various delicious products.
Temporary Worker (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 22 August 2016
Before you decide to work here decide how much stress you can handle..this place you need to work like crazy with very little thanks except a fake and forced thank you to line if quota is met..and when quota is met you can be guaranteed more will be expected the next day. It seemed there was a lot of drama amongst everyone there..everyone competing to seem the best..also temps being blamed for contracts mistakes at times. The rotation of shift can get to you after awhile, and even if your a long term temp do not expect to be treated very well..because you will be expected to do more work with same pay as other temps. The biggest trouble with this place is poor rotation of temps..get a clue and rotate every hr..every day and on every line ..no exceptions..
Machine Operator (Former Employee) – Brantford, ON – 15 April 2016
learn how to deal with different people. Fast moving, more on busy days than being relax everyday. Learn to deal with different problems and solution. Hardest part is when the machine has lots of different troubles and were running for production goal a day. Most enjoyable part is when your working together as a time and everybody cooperate.
