Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), based in Saskatoon, is the 45th largest company in Canada and the largest non-financial co-operative in Canada. The Saskatchewan Business Magazine's listing of the province's top 100 companies ranked FCL's 2012 sales at number one. FCL achieved record sales in 2013 of $9.4 billion and record net earnings from operations of $879 million.
FCL is a unique multi-billion-dollar wholesaling, manufacturing, marketing and administrative co-operative owned by 225 autonomous retail co-operatives across western Canada. Together, FCL and those local retail co-operatives form the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). The CRS serves our members and communities with products and services that help build, feed and fuel individuals from Vancouver Island to northwestern Ontario. Our total workforce of 24,500 employees serves 1.6 million active individual members and many more non-member customers at 2,500 retail locations in more than 500 communities. We are a different kind of business: we are locally invested, are community-minded and offer lifetime membership benefits including patronage refunds, quality products, quality services and fair prices.
Our employees are our success. The Co-operative Retailing System(CRS) has a strong commitment to promoting employees from within the organization. Many of our current employees started their careers in entry-level positions and have since progressed into positions of greater responsibility, experiencing many rewarding and challenging opportunities along the way.
Because we have such a diversified organization with many lines of business in various sectors, there are many career options to choose from and grow into.
If you are interested in learning a new skill or developing a new talent, a career within the CRS can help. Together, we'll work to match your individual career development plan with the opportunities available across our federation. There are many great possibilities available! – less
