Reporting to the President, we are searching for a Senior Manager, PR and Marketing, who will be responsible for managing all client relationships and their overall success; ensuring that through the management of their team, will exceed our client’s needs and goals on every project. Through the development of top level media and client relationships the Manager will drive new business with supporting innovative new business proposals and wins.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Execute and manage Sr. Management initiatives and strategy,
  • Manage and develop a team across all streams of communication, marketing and public relation platforms,
  • Manage the Social Media Manager and oversee all Communication social media platforms,
  • Lead organizational strategy and execution of identified accounts with ultimate responsibility of all account functions,
  • Through the development of business pitches, proposals and presentations, play an active role in acquiring new business,
  • Oversee and ensure all regular communication, media releases, written copy, client newsletters and press kits meet the Company standards,
  • Creates and ensures accurate production of publications and other communication vehicles,
  • Develop top level media client relationships through on-going communication,
  • Manage administrative lists ensuring all are current and accurate,
  • Act as a Company spokesperson and brand ambassador for interviews and public appearances,
  • Provide innovative PR idea generation for new and existing businesses,
  • Participates and manages events and onsite guest relations,
  • Advises on strategy and acts on behalf of the President, when required, and
  • Other responsibilities/projects as required.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • A Minimum of six years’ experience in the Public Relations and Marketing sector, with a focus on fashion,
  • Four to three years’ experience in leading organizational strategy and execution on accounts,
  • A minimum of four years leadership experience with a persuasive people orientation and take charge capabilities,
  • In-depth knowledge of Social Media practises and procedures,
  • Experience in high level presentation-both written and verbal,
  • A keen understanding of Canadian media landscape,
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills,
  • The sense of urgency and ability to multi-task required to successfully fulfil the job requirements, and
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and crisis management abilities.

Job Description

  • Manages team across all streams of Communications
  • Own ultimate responsibility for all account functions; Ensures that deadlines are met; troubleshoots problems; maintain regular contact with Clients and Media
  • Manages the Social Media Manager and oversees all Communications social media platforms; In depth knowledge of social media practices and procedures
  • Act as team role model; Manage/consult on growth of Team Members, provide constructive feedback and goals to Team Members
  • Liaise between the President, Directors, and team members
  • Lead organizational strategy and execution on all accounts across all streams of the Company communications
  • Support new business development through business pitches, proposals, and play an active role in acquiring new business for the company
  • Participate in new business presentations
  • Interview potential hires
  • Prepare timely written evaluations of team members
  • Act as brand ambassador and keep vision on track
  • Proactively oversees regular email correspondence, media releases, and written copy as required accordance with the Company standards
  • Manages/coaches executives/coordinators as required
  • Craft and deliver client corporate messaging
  • Manages day-to-day of office, and acts in place of President/Director
  • Manages client events and onsite guest relations
  • Creates and ensures accurate production of publications and other communication vehicles
  • Responsible for all proofreading of written material – press releases, client newsletters, cards, press kits
  • Keeps tracks of reports regularly on editorial wins and client activity

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of six years’ experience in Public Relations and Marketing sector
  • Minimum of four years in a management/leadership capacity
  • High level presentation skills – both written and verbal
  • High level account management skills
  • Keen understanding of Canadian media landscape
  • Ability to act as a brand ambassador to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to develop key Media relationships
  • Ability to lead organizational strategy and execution on accounts
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time
